TANJUNG REDEB, BERAUKITA- Anggota Komisi I DPRD Berau mendukung Rencana Pemkab Berau untuk memasang Hydrant di Kawasan padat pemukiman.
Hal itu diungkapkan Falentinus Keo Meo, anggota Komisi I DPRD Berau dari fraksi Demokrat, ia mengatakan, wacana tersebut harus didukung penuh. Karena Hydrant akan sangat bermanfaat jika sewaktu-waktu terjadi bencana kebakaran.
“Tentunya kita tidak mau kejadian seperti kemarin terulang kembali. Kalau jalan masuk itu sempit, tentu unit pemadam kebakaran sulit melintas. Maka dari itu, rencana pemasangan hydrant ini bisa jadi solusi,” kata dia, Sabtu (01/07/2023).
Ia mengungkapkan, pemasangan hydrant itu juga dapat bermanfaat untuk mencegah terjadinya musibah kebakaran.
“Dengan adanya Hydrant ini tentu masyarakat bisa menyambungkan selang air terlebih dahulu sembari menunggu pemadam kebakaran datang ke lokasi,” ungkapnya.
Politikus Demokrat ini menegaskan bahwa pihaknya di DPRD Berau siap mendukung sisi penganggaran pemasan hydrant tersebut. Terlebih hal tersebut dapat bermanfaat untuk masyarakat.
“perlu saya akui bahwa Rencana ini memang suatu wacana yang baik dan harus didukung. Apalagi kita ketahui di wilayah Tanjung Redeb banyak gang sempit serta padat pemukiman,” tutupnya. (*/rizal/adv).
